Project Care is a tradition for Howard students and families where we help spread holiday cheer by supporting those families who need a little extra love during the holiday season.  This program is designed to support Howard families with financial need by providing gifts for their children at Christmas. With monetary donations from our Howard families, representatives from the PTO purchase needed clothing and an education toy for each participating child. The items are given to the families to wrap and present to their children at Christmas.

If you are a family needing assistance this year, please follow the link below to fill out the form, place it in a sealed envelope and address it to Nurse Kathi by Monday, November 11th.

Families wishing to support this effort through giving can Venmo @Howard-AH-PTO and put "Project Care" on the memo line, or make an online contribution following the link below. Though any amount is appreciated, $50.00 supports one child with needed clothing and an educational gift.

The Giving Tree

During the month of December, Howard focuses on the character traits of compassion (using our feeling hearts) and generosity (using our helping hands). In order to make these concepts concrete for the students we work with the school to co-sponsor The Giving Tree at Howard. Through this project students have the opportunity to purchase gifts to be donated to a needy organization in our Alamo Heights community.

If you are interested in volunteering your time for Giving Tree, please contact Ashley Brownlee.
