The holidays are a time for giving, and Howard Holiday Helpers is one of the most meaningful ways our community comes together to spread cheer.

Formerly known as Project Care, this program helps provide gifts for Howard students in need, offering a little extra love and support during the holiday season. With donations from our generous families, the PTO purchases needed clothing and an educational toy for each participating child. The gifts are then passed along to families to wrap and share with their children.

Whether you're looking to give, volunteer your time, or are a family seeking support this year, stay tuned. We’ll be sharing more information on how to get involved as the holidays approach.

Thank you for helping us make the season brighter for every member of our Howard family. 💙

The Giving Tree

Each December, Howard students focus on the character traits of compassion (using our feeling hearts) and generosity (using our helping hands). To bring these values to life, we’re proud to once again co-sponsor The Giving Tree at Howard.

Through this meaningful project, students have the opportunity to select and purchase gifts to be donated to a local organization serving those in need right here in the Alamo Heights community. It’s a beautiful way for children to practice empathy and experience the joy of giving.

Details will be shared soon.If you are interested in volunteering your time for Giving Tree, please contact Amelia Williams.

We’re looking forward to another season of kindness, community, and giving at Howard!
